India celebrate 66th Independence day in this 2012 year. After many revolutionary movement India finally achieve Independence in 15 August, 1947 from British rule and they dominated for almost 200 years. 

Independence is the symbol of freedom, respect, peace, love and India is a great example of Unity in Diversity.

London Olympics 2012

London Olympics 2012

The 2012 Olympics began in London, United Kingdom on 27 July and will continue till 12 August 2012. There are more than 10,000 top athletes from 204 nations participated in this 2012 Summer Olympic Games where total  events is 302 in 26 sports. This is biggest sporting event in the World.

London was selected for this Summer Olympic Games after defeating Paris, Madrid and New York City in bids. London selected for third time after the year of 1098 and 1948 to host this modern Olympic Games.

This tradition was first occurred in the US in 1935 and observed by many countries. In 2012, the Friendship Day is 5th August and this festival celebrated in many countries including India. 

Friendship Day was first promoted by Joyce Hall in 1919 and people celebrated this day by sending cards. After that this festival spread all over the World and people spend this day by sending card, flower, chocolate, friendship band etc. and share love, cares, emotion, feelings each others. This Friendship Day is great festival for all generation and everyone try to make this day special for their special friend.
